There's more where that came from.

Good thing I have a spare computer up here; I have something else to get my Internet on with while I get my other computer de-squeakified! You know, the my Linux machine (an older version of Debian, as if anybody would care) needs some work on it. I should totally do that.

Come to think of it, nobody would know much about my computers (for how much I complain about them every time something goes wrong). I'm not wealthy -- being that I am a college student that pays for tuition and such expenses out-of-pocket, we work very much, yes, yes! -- but I somehow ended up with a couple of older machines and some hardware over the summer. Well, thetakogun convinced me to drag some spare hard drives and the newer of the two elder thinking stones up here so we could install and learn to use Linux on it. Well, damn it, that was a great idea, and I'm glad we did. Thankfully, we have cgranade around, or the software side would be a great big pain. So, that puts the count at one upgraded four-year-old Hewlett-Packard with a disturbingly creaky CPU fan (it's a cute little fan that keeps the processor from overheating and melting, which would totally be bad for the machine), a comparably weak Linux box with some quirks to ponder, and a very sad Windows-95-era computer three hundred miles away. Hmm. Doing great!

Speaking of that, did you ever notice how "Makin' it great!" is a great slogan for anything? It's so catchy, slogany, uh, ambigious. Try it! Milhouse's House of Wonder: Makin' it great! Vegabond's Tire Services: Makin' it great! Try it!
