An email I just recieved from my drawing instuctor:

[SFX: new email beep]

Dear Sam,

Just a note to let you know that I changed your grade to an "A" for Life
Drawing. Upon reflection, after grading all the portfolios, your
outstanding effort and improvement definitely put you into the "A" range.
My initial grading decisions are often somewhat harsh, especially with the
first few portfolios that get reviewed. Happy Holidays!

Sincerely,
David Mollett

Well, it was in the high-B range, but that's a sorta tricky barrier to push through.

I know what you mean. Well, glad to hear you got the A for it. From what the message said, it sounds like you did a great job on that artwork. Any chance of scanning some of it, or if it's already on the 'net?

Well, I photographed one thing, but what I actually ended up doing was movieing this one thing, because I took a movie instead of a picture. Yeaaah. Whoops. See, they're to big for my scanner. They're too big for most scanners, so I'm having to photgraph them, and I don't like what they look like as photographs. I'll try anyhow.

Too big for most scanners? Exactly how big are we talking about? Did you graffiti a wall or something? :P

We use big, big paper, usually starting with 18"x24", sometimes even bigger. I've got one here in the room That's taking up a considerable portion of one wall, and that isn'tthe biggest thing I did this year. Tough for my comparitively little scanner, which can hardly even scan a full page of one of my sketchbooks. Photographing is one of the only ways to go.

Even if the photographs won't look professional, I'd still like to see what kind of work you do.
