I ran into _earth_vs_soup_ last Friday. Her and one of the other few UAF Art Guild members. Hanging out with them was an enlightening experience. Behold these things I learned:
It is hard to get college students interested in student groups. The campus anime club is flopping around, almost memberless, too. A student's life must be too busy or self-absorbed for things like groups. Maybe we're just lazy.
Fast-paced political discussions give me headaches. There's too much to talk about! Words not stop?! Why?! Auuuuugh!
As comfortable as my little niche up here is, it can be fun to leave the dome once and a while, even if I am kind of busy for it. Meeting new people is still a rewarding and stimulating experience. Gasp!
