Over 50% done on birdy, btw

Whenever I come home from sculpture, no matter how much I scrub there, I still have that black coating from the tie wire in and around my fingernails. I usually keep my fingernails and hands really clean, so it's really annoying. It's the same reason why I don't like to use charcoal or pastels that much: I don't like the dirtiness. Powder or residue gets all over the place, into my clothes, my skin, the ground, aaargh! Guess I'll never be a great fine artist with an attitude like that. I'll have to settle for being a clean artist.

For some reason, this reminds me of metalworking and jewelrymaking. Other parts of the class aside, it was a regular thing, at least in my case, to end up with a lot of small cuts, burns, acid burns from flux, and so forth. x3 Still, can't wait to see the sculpture when it's done.
