I finally got it.

On October 11th, 10:51 PM, Sam (AKA "Mass Treble") finally learned how to $#@%ing draw. Up until this point, he had been holding and manipulating the pencil in the wrong way. While sketching in his Intermediate Drawing notebook, he once again drew attention to the blandness of his lines and the lack of expressive acuracy in his figures. Analyzing the work of several professionals and everything he did, epiphany struck him. He tested his new knowledge with a quick sketch of a woman's head that produced a "Wow. That's a really great face, and you did it so fast!" from an onlooker.

After filling the page with similiar rough figure studies in record-breaking time, Sam commented, "I am reborn!"

masstreble: Unless you have an interest in beginer figure studies...

Like I said, they are really boring figure sketches. I just picked up a little pencil technique that would have been handy a long time ago. It turns out that I still have a very long way to go before I can be called "skilled" and infinitely farther before I am satisfied with myself.

In any case, after our midterm portfolios have passed, I'll be sure to post a few choice things just to show what I'm up to and I'll custom make a thing or two for you guys.
