Decision point.

Okay, information-gathering concluded. I figured out that a) I want a tablet omg and b) it makes more sense for me to get them online. Here's what everyone else has to say about everything else:

(Note, I summerized what they all actually said over instant messaging, email, and the 'net in general. That's why they are in brackets like that.)

makzu: [You can get by just fine with one of the smaller (and cheaper) ones.]
A.P.: [Yeah, but it is better to get one that's bigger! The transition is easier that way.]
JDR: [I do really well with one of the larger ones. It's highly recomendable.]
ghostangel: [Don't get anything too big, or they get clumsy and heavy.]
makzu: [You know, they have refurbished ones online that are about the size you want but for a lot less money.]
Me: Thanks everyone!
Everyone: [^_^]

Now, let's track 'er down...

cgranade: Academic discounts? Online ordering?

Academic discounts kick the ass0rz. Obviously, you'd want to compare this price to the UA technology center, but at least it's a starting point, eh?

masstreble: UA tech center.

Where in blazes is the UA tech center, anyhow?

cgranade: Re: UA tech center.

It's on the way to the Center for Distance Ed. The Campus Shuttle will take you there by request.

I know this is late... but...

Have you tried EBay?

Prices there can kick it in the ass... Tablets usually go for WAAAYYY less then market value...

masstreble: I thought of that, too.

I've taken a look, but it is a real mess. XP I've decided to instead see if our local technology center has one or will order one for me. I can acedemic discounts, so the price should be spiffy, too. In other words, I'm attempting to play it safe and avoid shipping craziness.
