Hieronymus Bosch.

Today in my art history class, we talked about Hieronymus Bosch. I was familiar with the subject matter: when I was little, I spent hours upon hours looking at his works, paticularly "The Garden of Earthly Delights." (I shared this with the professor, and she seemed concerned about a child who spent any amount of time studying Bosch's paintings. XD)

Observing his paintings now, I make a connection that wasn't there before: Bottomwarp, Topwarp, Strangewarp, and perhaps Upwarp.

Concerning professors for fun and profit! As I know you, I can understand where you would... but I can see where such an interest would be at the least unexpected to one who does not know you.

I was a strange and imaginative little kid. It was like Bosch had painted just for me!

Was? Hm... well, don't confuse randomness for chaos. Two completely different beasts.

I hope you're not trying to say I'm still a little kid.

Why would I say that?

Ummmmmmmmmmmm
Reminds me of a monty python movie, all crammed together at once....
There's also a jesus-like figure in all but the last one.

That's because these paintings were done with oil in a style that is typical of the Northern Renaissance. Gilliam got a lot of the images for his animations from copies of these paintings.

Also, yes, there are Jesus figures in these. 'Twas intentional: these are paintings with religious and moral themes (even if the Garden doesn't at first seem so.).

Actually, I picked up on the garden one pretty quick.... reading a lot of mythology, and theology texts while in school kinda made me a little bit more..... into religion than most people... but I'm more of a studier, than an actual practicioner....at least now anyways... I've pretty much forsaken organized religion, and gone for just a spiritualist tempo...

masstreble: Deep linking problems.

Linking to 4chan like that isn't going to work. Most of the -chans have some tricky coding to prevent any kind of deep-image sharing. You're going to have to come up with another way of showing me that image.

That's a good idea! Even cgranade is impressed with 4chan's anti-leach software, so I wouldn't attempt to subvert it.
