Bone chinaroons in the stage directions reinforce plot developments?

I'm back! Disaster over! My power supply arrived, and I put it all back together again. I've learned a few things over the last week:

  • Huh? I can repair computers? When did I learn to do that? Did I get some skill points and not even feel them get distributed?

  • I have critical self-doubt issues which are slowly eating me alive and stopping me from doing anything. I must do something about this.

  • One should plan out a list like this before one attempting to draft it, because if you run out of stuff, you'll feel like a fool. XP

Anyhow, I was reading Henrik Ibsen's "A Doll House" (a play) out of a textbook I had laying around, and I noticed these questions at the end...

Notice anything about what was almost question three? "Bone chinaroons in the stage directions reinforce plot developments?" That's not a question, it's an offer! XD I have a lot of counter-questions, though: what the heck is a chinaroon? How can I bone it in the stage directions? Are chinaroons hawt? How would that reinforce plot development? Why do I want to answer, "Don't mind if I do?" See, the way this is phrased, I end up with a mental image of the chinaroon as something I would want to bone.

I find this simple series of typos to be rather inspiring.

mmmmmmm ChinaRoons....... *drool*
oh wait...

but yeah, I think it's more of a Rifts from palladium games percentile chance of success at completing a skill that a D20 Dungons and Dragons kind of success. Because in rifts you don't even have to level your character up to gain experience, if you successfully complete skills enough times, the DM can grant more knowledge in that area...

I'm pretty sure that that's what happened, because I installed a new video card on my computer, and another 1024megs of RAM, by myself, and yet... I know it's simple, you plug it in, and install the drivers. but I've never done it by myself... wow... I think my computer knowledge is maybe... 35% right now.

Can you have 100% knowledge in something? I mean, those things shift and change constantly.

in Rifts yes... in real life... yes... if it's something that no longer is being advanced.... like.... oh I don't know, the mapping of the Human Genome..

I prefer the D&D system, myself. I find it a little more intuitive and natural.

Besides that, I don't want to be a Rifts character. They have very short shelf lives, if you know what I mean.

that is true, 5 minutes after creation of a Zapper R.C.C., it died in combat.... I do believe that's a new world record.... because I don't think any group anywhere else has gotten into combat so soon after starting their game, and gone through enough rounds to actually kill off a character.... in less that half an hour... what with all the bickering, annoying rules-lawyering...
